Well! As you can see, after 2 years we're finally in the process of
updating our website! About time eh?
It seems impossible, try as I might, to limit el bee baby to one diaper,
one cover, etc. etc. I am constantly trying to improve things but
somehow make things simpler at the same time. How to offer choice
and simplicity at the same time? Don't know yet. If you have words
of advice, please share!
· We've finally got our vests up on the site! These were
prompted by a gift from a friend in Japan where there is no central
heating (I cannot imagine! Brrrrrrr) and babies and children wear
lovely thick vests indoors to keep warm. We've managed to recreate
this frigid environment by moving into a(nother!) century home.
Cold and expensive to heat (but oh so charming!) I started fooling
around with different vest configurations and came up with this
one. (link)
· We've switched to using only 100% organic wool. I am over
the moon about this stuff! It's so soft and stretchy. Takes dye
like a dream and wears very well. Want to make wool things yourself?
You can buy it at www.vtorganics.com
· We are working towards offering a simpler, more affordable
line of diapers, using the same organic fabrics. When will this
happen? Who knows! But it's definitely buzzing around in my brain.
Tentative name : 'plain bee'
This is something that I've been thinking of from the start of el
bee baby. The first diapers that I used with my son, the ones that
inspired me to go into the business, were flat, shaped terry diapers.
So affordable, so adjustable for fit. Took no time to dry. I've
changed my ideals slightly but we're working on this!
HAVE A LOVELY DAY!
