What's NOT so great about hemp!!!! The more I use this fibre the more
I love it.
- It's far more absorbant than cotton which means, trimmer diapers!
- It's far more durable than cotton. Your hemp diapers may even
outlive your child's diapering career!
- It doesn't mildew, a real benefit with diapers that sit wet
in a pail for a couple of days!
- It requires far less water to grow than cotton.
- It requires no pesticides to grow.
- It is far more abundant a crop than cotton.
- Hemp is versatile! It can be used for rope, paper, apparel etc.
It's oil seeds are also usable nutritionally and in skin care
products. The oil is very high in essential fatty acids and is
a powerful antioxidant!
- Hemp softens with age. It wears in, not out. I cannot believe
how soft some of my childs' oldest hemp diapers are!
You really have to try it to believe it! I know that the word 'hemp'
for many people conjures up images of fabric with the softness of
burlap! This just isn't so! In every way hemp is a superior fibre
to cotton, and NO you can't smoke it!! Industrial hemp contains virtually
NO THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana. |
