It shouldn't be so hard to find children's wear in organic fabrics and gender neutral colours without monster trucks emblazoned all over them.

It seemed so natural, with rolls of such gorgeous fabric surrounding us, that we should branch into clothing.
And we all know how hard it is to find clothing that fits over a cloth diapered 'silhouette'?

Currently we make the following items of clothing:

Pants and hats first:
To fit well over cloth diapers we cut our pants a little roomier through the 'seat' (they also work just dandily over non-cloth diapered butts)
The pants are have gently elasticized waists. Legs are cut a bit on the long side with a cuff to allow for maximum wear! (We l also offer the pants in a shorter 'clamdigger' length for warmer seasons and climates!)

And now… the vests:

I am so excited about these! We've been making them for awhile now and it's nice to finally have them up on the site.
I was inspired to work on a vest design when our daughter received a vest from a friend in Japan. Vests are apparently a common item of clothing in Japan for keeping children warm in houses that don't have central heating!
Living in an icebox of an old century home prompted me to work on our own vest pattern. What's the big deal about vests, you ask? Well…
· Vests are so handy at keeping children warm without resticting their motion.
· We use them as well for nighttime layers, over pyjamas!
· We even used them through the summer as a light layer over a t shirt when the sun went down.

Our vests snap at the shoulder and under the arm to create a close fitting garment that is easy to put and take off of even the wiggliest of children. The vest is cut a little shorter in the front and a little longer in the back to provide ample coverage for all the crawling, bending, reaching and pretzelling that one might want to do.

The vests are available in organic wool interlock. (We're also working on an organic cotton fleece version with silkscreened designs! Stay tuned!)
